Kidney Afghans For Kids was founded in early 2008 as an outreach of Patterson Music Group. KAFK gathers knitted or crocheted afghan squares contributed by loving people from all over the country and creates sampler afghans. The afghans are donated to children with Chronic Renal Failure who are beginning hemodialysis.

Every square is made with love and compassion, every afghan is pieced together with squares made by a different person, and every person prays for the child who will receive the afghan.

Minister and Recording Artist Alan Patterson, founder of Patterson Music Group, is a kidney transplant survivor (December 19, 2006). Kidney disease runs in his family, and he has watched his father, brothers, and other loved ones suffer from the effects of this devastating illness. KAFK offers a practical way to give comfort and care, love and prayer to children with renal failure.
